This one was kind of inspired by a show that Amy was into watching for a while (I don't remember what it was called, I'm not going to google it.) But it was about people living up in the Yukon or Alaskan bush. It got me thinking what life would be like out there with your SO 100's of miles off the nearest road and far from your closest neighbor. Seems romantic at first, but man you got to really like the person you are with! I thought I'd call it February, because why not. In February maybe winter has a few more punches left in it, but things are starting to thaw. Maybe. The first draft was also deeply influenced by the Robert Frost poem "Home Burial." If you know the poem then you know that this song was DARK. To dark. To long. Bleak and sad. I edited like heck, but there are still a few choice verses from that early version in this one. February is the month of love, so this one goes out to people who've had a chill in their relationship. A winter even. Hopefully things will thaw for you.
