An accordion student asked me a question about accompanying his friend - who plays blues harmonica - on the accordion. There is SO much to say about the blues, but in this video I show how to play a simple 12 bar blues pattern (I I IV IV I I V IV I I) and some rhythms on the accordion. A follow-up video will show how to play the blues scale on the accordion, which will be the melody portion of playing the blues.
