#FfestiniogandWelshHighlandRailway #TheSnowdonian Coverage of the annual Snowdonian special train on the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways - with a journey from Porthmadog to Blaenau Ffestiniog, return to Porthmadog and then on to Caernarfon and back. Double Fairlie locomotive Merddyn Emrys and Welsh Pony hauled the train on the FR with Garratt loco 143 on the Welsh Highland, joined by Garratt 130 from Rhyd Ddu onwards. Lyd is seen on the 1110hrs Woodland Wanderer service with Garratt 87 on the Gelert Explorer service train from Caernarfon to Beddgelert. Footplate rides at Blaenau were provided by Hugh Napier, Jenny and Eigiau. Locations included Boston Lodge, Penrhydeudraeth, Tan y Bwlch, Tan y Grisiau, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Tan y Grisiau, Minffordd, Nantmor, the top of the 1/40 climb before Pitts Head and just north of Betws Garmon.
