I've always been a fan of the Remington 700. My first centerfire rifle was a Remington 700 BDL chambered in .308 Win and I've loved them ever since. Even though I'm a fan, this Remington 700 SPS Tactical AAC-SD, is the first non-custom Remington 700 I've owned in 26 years. I originally picked this up when I was working for Grayboe Stocks. I needed a straight factory Remington 700 to drop into any of the stocks that I was testing or getting content with. I wanted a 22" varmint contour, threaded barrel, chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor and I found this to be a perfect solution. Having several high-end custom rifles, the big question was how it was going to perform in the field. I really wanted something I can just take out and shoot, beat around, let friends run, and still have a level of consistency that I can count on for longer shots. I'm really happy to say it exceeded my expectations and I'm very happy with it. On average this rifle shoots .75 MOA with quality factory ammunition.
