Everything starts in the field. High resolution models of the subsurface can only come from appropriate Survey Design and from careful and meticulous attention to detail during field acquisition. Poor time series cannot be recovered from in the office, no matter how sophisticated the routine. This presentation will discuss Survey Design, which is relatively simple in MT compared to controlled-source EM, then discuss field acquisition in detail, from the electrodes to electrode array to coils to coil installation to recorders.
