A ride out in honour of Dave Myers who died from cancer on the 28th of February 2024. He was one of the hosts of Hairy bikers working alongside Simon King and his friend Jason 'Woody' Woodcock (everyone just calls him Woody). Si and Woody set up the ride to go from London to Barrow-in-Furness, Dave Myers' hometown which he would frequently visit. originally expected to have between 2000 - 4000 bikes show up, 46,700 bikes showed up showing that the bike community isn't just a community but a big happy family that will come together to do amazing things. The world lost a hero but proved to everyone that the hope hadn't gone. Barrow-in-Furness is a beautiful little town that in recent years has struggled getting visitors because of influencers on the internet claiming theres nothing in the area of where its located but the town itself is located extremely close to the Lake District, mountains, ocean and Key locations throughout the north for any biker who wants to go on a massive ride full of unique locations and costal roads. The video is a bit jumpy between clips because the original edit i made had the helmet footage go corrupt and i had to rely on the backup unedited video i made in case anything went corrupt, but with it being 6am i gave up on the heavy edit... 15GB video file is enough to make me think "Yeah Im good time for bed".
