Not quite as planky as before, but I just had to test if I could do this. Partly because I'm almost an engineer and partly because rigging in Blender has been a mystery to me (still is). Most of these rigs use rigid body constraints, but one of them is done completely with armatures. Modeling, rigging, animation and rendering in Blender 2.74.
