*Note: I am not implying that this is how the manufacturer set up this distributor. This is only how I found it in this Mini. ** In this video, I inspect and dismantle an aftermarket distributor. This was the distributor that I had removed from a previous tuning session. During the tuning process, I found that this distributor did not advance properly and was overly advanced most of the time. I wanted to take this unit apart to inspect it to see why it was performing so poorly. The tear down and inspection revealed some bad wear as well as a poorly set up advance curve. I test the unit in my distributor machine to determine the advance curve and then compare it to an ideal advance curve.
