Imperial Miners - A flawless digital version of an ok board game

Taking a look at the demo for a game called Imperial Miners. This is a digital version of a physical board game from Portal Games. I like Portal. Imperial Settlers (based in the same world) is one of my favorite board games ever. And I do own the physical version of Imperial Miners so I know what it's all about. The digital version of the board game is done very well. There are some weird UI elements (like having to scroll the progress tracker view rather than just being able to make it big enough so you can see all 3 tracks) and some weird translations, but otherwise this is a spot on version of the board game. So how good is the board game? It's... ok. It's a fine game. Very quick. Fun combos. But it's a little thin to the point where I feel like it's something you'll play a handful of times before you'll have kind of seen everything it has to offer. That being said, there is an expansion coming soon that may inject a little more depth into it. I like it. I don't love it. But in terms of representing what it is as a digital game? Very well done!
