Generally, Micarta Handles are very stable. Not sure what the heck is going on with this particular handle, but it has suffered some significant shrinkage. Perhaps I'll name this knife George. You would expect that from a wood handle or bone, but not something synthetic and supposedly impervious to that sort of thing. This is a first. I actually ended up not keeping this knife to see if it improved or further deteriorated. I have a new one with Ironwood and Elmax steel that is rock solid and does not shrink and is just an all-around amazing knife. When I received the knife, it felt fine, but then it shrunk. I never bonded with the knife either. It was a weird color burgundy and just never ticked all the right boxes. So therefore I no longer own it. The Ironwood version is actually so much more comfortable and stable and with ELMAX, I can't go wrong. Absolutely love the knife. Have you had a knife handle move on you?
