Long Meg & Daughters is a Stone circle dating from 1500BC and is supposed to be cursed and is the second largest stone circle in the UK. A bit off the beaten track as we took the wrong turns a couple of times, and best of all you have to use the Hartside Pass along the route. A glorious day to boot which made it an enjoyable day out.The lead mine is closed for the foreseeable future as they are waiting for the green light from Batman before they can repair the roofs of the buildings one of which has a hole in it.
