This video features a walking tour of Belgrade’s main pedestrian and shopping street, Knez Mihailova. Protected by Serbian law as one of the oldest and cherished landmarks in Belgrade, Knez Mihailova Street is named after Mihailo Obrenović III, Prince of Serbia for two periods (1839-1842 and 1860-1868). The street contains a number of mansions and buildings constructed during the late 1870s. Thousands of people stroll along Knez Mihailova every day because it is the shortest path from Terazije to Kalemegdan park and fortress. Part way through our walk along Knez Mihailova Street, we stopped by at Republic Square (Trg Republike).
