Easy DIY Folding Bench Seat - Maximize Your Van Storage and Comfort | Van Build Series Part 11

This has to be one of the easiest ways to build a custom bench seat in your van conversion. Almost the entire thing is built simply out of 2x2's. It's super inexpensive, lightweight, strong, and can be finished in an afternoon. My largest board, is 22 inches wide, so I knew I was going to build a large bench seat. It's a little larger than I would've built it otherwise, as my feet dangle a bit, but it fits my storage, and gives me and my guests a spot to hangout. Building the bench seat out of 2x2's makes it really sturdy, without costing much. I think I got all the 2x2's for maybe 25 dollars. Add a couple hinges, the wood I used for slats, and some wood screws, and this whole project is easily less than 100 dollars.
