This week we’re doing a hockey box break, featuring Upper Deck’s 1st hockey offering - it’s 1990-91 Upper Deck Hockey Cards! This is a great looking set with quality photos and a very clean design. The set also has an insert card set of holograms, although the holograms we found were kinda hard to identify, especially without anything on the back of the card. LOTS of Rookie Cards here too, led by Jaromir Jagr, who was missing from the 1990-91 Bowman box we opened a few months ago. The other key rookies include Jeremy Roenick, Mats Sundin, Mike Modano, Ed Belfour, Mike Richter, Rob Blake, Alexander Mogilny, and a ton more! The best part is that you can find boxes of these cards for $20 or less (I got mine for $19 shipped on eBay). For a junk wax era offering, there’s a lot here - nice looking cards, tons of rookies, and even an insert set. This is a definite recommend for those looking to collect 30 year old cards on a budget.
