Here are my thoughts on intermittent fasting - Warrior-Diet style. After starting with the LeanGains approach, I gradually transitioned to a Warrior-diet style protocol where I essentially only eat once a day, but for about 2 hours straight. For about 2 years straight, I used to only eat a 2 egg white and kale breakfast, a very small half turkey sandwich with lettuce for lunch and then an enormous dinner along with a post-workout protein shake. I didn't realize that this was essentially the Warrior diet. Now I only drink 2 cups of coffee and a ton of water from 5am until about 7pm, regardless of training. I typically do about 30-45 minutes of fasted low to high intensity cardio in the morning with no recovery macros. Then in the afternoon from about 4-6:30 I have my REAL training session of weight training, rock climbing or a long, intense bike ride. After that comes the gorge-fest I call dinner.
