In November 2021, Xbox announced the final 76 games in the backwards compatibility list, bringing the total number of Xbox and Xbox 360 games to 695 games (63 Xbox games and 632 Xbox 360 games). This enormous list allows for many classic franchises such as Borderlands, Call of Duty, Halo, Fable, Gears of War, Max Payne, Dead or Alive, Star Wars and more to be played with many visual and gameplay improvements and, in some cases, include the download content (DLC) for free. This backwards compatibility is available for all disc models of the Xbox One (original Xbox One, Xbox One S, Xbox One X) as well as the Xbox Series X.
