Dang it, I just realized I forgot to mention that the small やゆよ (ya yu yo) characters can be used to make a ton more sounds than just the し ones. you can also do stuff like きゃ、ちゃ、みゃ、りゃ、にゃ、ひゃ, and with the other 2 y- characters and with the tenten. (eg ぎゅ) The goal with these videos isn't necessary be perfectly educational but it still feels bad to have wrong or incomplete information in a video like this where I'm kind of presenting as an authority on something I'm really not. So, originally this was gonna be like a "POV: you're the canvas" thing but then I thought about it more and was like "ok but if you're the canvas, how am I picking it up and showing you what I wrote? And why would I be teaching an inanimate canvas hiragana anyway?" And then I realized it doesn't matter at all and I can just say I'm writing on your face for no reason in particular LOL. As usual, the video isn't perfect; I had to make a few corrections and there are the omnipresent chair and monitor settling noises but it doesn't have to be perfect and I'm slowly figuring this stuff out a bit more. Given the length of this video I really didn't want to re-record stuff for just a few issues here and there. Also fun fact, while recording the brush noises, the apartment across the street from me literally caught fire! I had to stop recording for a bit while the fire department came and took care of it. As far as I know everyone's okay though.
