Hiking from Ebenalp to Seealpsee Part 4 (Schäfler to Altenalp) | June 2022【4K】

The full hike takes us from the mountain cable car station on Ebenalp, past the famous Berggasthaus Aescher, and Chlus to our highest point at the top of Schäfler, before descending back into the valley below past Altenalp to the shore of Seealpsee. In this fourth video, we continue the hike where we left off in the third video, near the summit of Schäfler and descend down the side of the mountain to Altenalp. We start the hike looking over the Swiss countryside towards Bodensee with Germany and Austria beyond, before turning around and walking across the terrace area of Berggasthaus Schäfler and on to a narrow trail, which takes us around the right hand side of the actual summit of Schäfler. After passing around the summit, we are rewarded with views across the Seealpsee valley to the mountains beyond and in front of us, the trail to Altenalp leads us down the side of the mountain. This trail zig zags back and forth as we slowly descend the near vertical side of the mountain, until the track eventually starts to flatten out and eventually, we find ourselves on the high-level pastures that surround Altenalp and it is here that we end this part of the hike, looking across the valley.
