This prodigy started his training at a tender age of 8 Years under his father Shri Kalicharan, & from Pandit Anand Lal, Daya Shankar learning basic techniques giving him a unique recognition. Lokesh further developed vocal nuances by becoming a disciple of Sangeet Martand Pandit Jasraj, of the “Mewati Gharana”, who became a major reason in influencing & amplifying his techniques. Through the journey, he transformed himself into an exceptional Shehnai Artist, by mastering both Instrumental and Vocal Styles, having a spectacular command over his techniques. His playing comprises clean and mature aspects of a balanced musician who reciprocates accordingly and who can communicate through his Shehnai.
