In the 90s Ford didn't always equip trucks with tachometer gauges. Most automatic transmission equipped trucks didn't have a tachometers. Clusters physically swap/are direct bolt-ons for all applicable 90s years. 2.) Clusters are compatible swaps between certain years. 92-93, 94-95, 96-97. If you swap outside those years you will need to repin the cluster. Without repinning, the alternator won’t charge. 3.) PSOMs can swap between all years, but earlier year PSOMs are sensitive to tone ring variations. 4.) PSOMs are work between gas and diesel trucks. 5.) Gas and diesel clusters are direct bolt-on swaps but the tachometer and fuel gauge are specific to the fuel type. 6.) Clusters can be identified by a part number printed on the back side of the clusters. The part number will look like: F2FT... F stands for Ford and “2” denotes the year. In this cases, F2 stands for Ford 1992. 7.)The odometer mileage is stored on the board attached to the PSOM. 8.)
