Marin Alpine Trail E1 E-Bike Demo Day | Forest of Dean Mountain Biking

I managed to snag a last minute E-Bike hire on the weekend just to try something new out! I really like the idea of E-Bikes with the fact that you can zoom to the top and drop straight in to a trail without even needing a rest. I was expecting to get a lot more distance and elevation in but unfortunately the battery only lasted just over two hours, 30km and 1100m of climbing before it ran out. It was a shame because I could have gone all day if the battery allowed! It was a fun bike, although not as nice as my Geometron, but still tackled all the trails we did with ease. I'll probably wait a few more years for the technology to evolve more before taking the plunge properly, but it was a good day anyway! We're just your average mountain bikers mountain biking in the Forest of Dean and beyond, exploring all sorts of trails - XC, Enduro, Downhill!
