In this episode, Kerry Harrison takes us through Cleopatra's final monologue as she's preparing for death, highlighting the power, vengeance, and love Egypt's queen holds on to until the very end. You can read along with the monologue here: http://playbyplaytheatre.org/cleopatra __ Kerry Harrison studied English and Drama at Royal Holloway University of London before going onto an MA in Theatre Criticism and Dramaturgy at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama where she specialized in Shakespeare and queer academia. During her undergraduate degree, she co-directed Shakespeare’s “Cymbeline” and worked as a dramaturg on an Edinburgh Fringe production of “Julius Caesar”. She is now undertaking a PGCE in primary education where she hopes to take her love for inclusion and the arts into her future classrooms. Teresa Aportela Sergott is a graduate of Villanova University, where she studied Religious Studies and Theatre Arts. She has performed with Play-by-Play for the past two summers as Peter Quince in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, and more recently as Baptista in “The Taming of the Shrew.” Her love of Shakespeare began decades ago when seeing her brother perform as Benedick in the Atlanta Shakespeare Company’s production of “Much Ado About Nothing.” __ To learn more about Play-by-Play Theatre, visit: http://playbyplaytheatre.org/
