The theme of this week was trying to get on top of my workload. The main focus with that was getting to work on pre-production for the next explainer video for the day job, which is about explaining business monopolies. For this one, I wanted to take some time to really think through the visuals, starting with playing around with an idea for animating a 3D version of the Monopoly board game (credit below for the 3D model I used) and eventually storyboarding the shots I have in mind for the skit. The results are pretty basic, but my hope is to develop a fuller pre-production process so that filming and editing go more smoothly as the number of video projects I have to work on ramps up.
