Torture Testing Lithium Batteries: Do LiFeP04 Batteries Explode or Burn?

Welcome back to Mortons on the Move! In today's video, we have something truly exciting: we're putting various lithium-ion batteries through rigorous torture tests to see how they perform under worst-case scenarios if they explode or catch fire. We have five different brands of batteries, and in our previous video, we tested their normal performance. Now, it's time to push them to their limits! Tests Include: Overvoltage Testing - We crank up the voltage to see where the BMS (Battery Management System) fails. Damage Testing - Using high-speed cameras, we capture what happens when we puncture the batteries with screws. Batteries Tested 100Ah Versions: Dakota Lithium Lion Energy Battle Born Renogy LI-Time Throughout the video, we document the performance, safety, and gas emissions of these batteries. The results are startling and provide valuable insights into the safety and reliability of lithium-ion batteries in extreme conditions.
