Compassionate Diary Writing - Journalling With Cognitive behaviour Therapy

Diary writing is a very useful way of learning about ourselves, but what use if diary writing if we cannot integrate our life experiences? In this video we are taking a look at compassionate diary writing, with references back to cognitive behaviour therapy, and how we can take a different approach to diary writing, which in turn helps us to face difficult and painful life experiences and take something useful out of them. If we want to be able to cope with stress, anxiety and fear in life, then it starts with having compassion for ourselves and our failings. When we are self compassionate, we become compassionate towards others and in the process we become inwardly stronger, more grounded and capable of dealing with the external life stressors, because deep within we are centered within ourselves, thanks to the self compassion which we can give ourselves through the journalling process of diary writing.
