Geophysics: Seismic - AVO - gradient intercept form of the Aki-Richards equation

We look at the reformulation of the Aki-Richards equation into a slope intercept form where the independent variable is sin^2 theta. We discuss the different classes of AVO and where they plot in the intercept gradient plot. We calculate intercept gradient from Marcellus Shale P-wave and S-wave sonics and note a class referred to as "Class V" associated with a shale to limestone response.
