First Week of Training A New Icelandic Horse - Part 4

Kalsi frá Thingeyrum has just been imported directly from Iceland to Ireland. He was trained a bit as a 5yr old but has spent last years outside in a herd, doing little but being a horse, getting fat and playing with his mates. He is overweight, in full winter coat, calm but not sure humans should be in control, has very limited knowledge of leg aids, side way movements or bending and tends to be too high in his head carriage and poke his nose up when rider touches the reins. These 4 short videos follow the first week of getting to know him and his training status. In this 4th video I have ridden Kalsi 3 times in total and you will already see improvements in his response and topline.
