Seen in this Assiduous Productions video, is a pole lathe bowl making demonstration with Trigvi (Jonny Arey), displaying the types of Viking made apparatus, equipment and techniques that may have been involved in the process. This demonstration shows how Vikings would likely have produced the types of bowls they may then have used for their food. The bowl making process was demonstrated publicly throughout the Jorvik Viking Festival 2023, in the city centre of York. The Jorvik Viking Festival is an annual event taking place during February each year, on occasion with other associated events. The city centre set up includes displays of creative crafts and artefacts, and with simulations and demonstrations of some of the styles of equipment, techniques and labour methods used by the Vikings in their processing and production of essentials, ranging from weaponry, to clothing and jewellery, to cutlery.
