The Kopra Danda Trek and how we experienced it in fall 2022: all the details about stages, lodges, trails and more! A German version of this video will be available in the coming weeks. This video is about trekking the Kopra Danda Trek including trips to Muldai View Point and Kayer Lake in Nepal and is meant to be a trek report and guide for anyone interested in hiking this beautiful trail climbing up to the south-western ridges of the Annapurna range. It's the final part of a three part series about our two week hike along the southern Slopes of the Annapurna Himal from Pokhara to the Kali Ghandaki valley. From the tiny hamlet of Kande we set off to a two week trek around the southern slopes of Annapurna Himal, one of the most famous and most beautiful mountain ranges in the world. After completing the first leg of our trek, the Mardi Himal Trek, we spend two days climbing up through the Modi Khola canyon into the very heart of the Annapurna range. Our goal on the very top of this steep valley is the giant south face of Annapurna I, the tenth highest mountain on earth. After witnessing a magical sunrise there, we move on to the thord trek on our list: The Kopra Danda Trek. From Chomrong, the village at the entrance to the Modi Khola canyon, we turn west and within two days climb to the tea houses of Dobato. Dobato is our base for scaling Muldai Hill in the morning to witness the sunrise from one of the best view points in the Annapurna region. The rest of the day finally takes us to Kopra Danda via Bayeli and Chistibung. Despite a foggy morning we decide to take on the day hike from Kopra to mystical Kayer Lake, sitting right below Annapurna South. We conclude our trek with a two day descent into the Khali Ghandaki valley and the trails - and roads - of the Annapurna Circuit, where we take a well earned soak in the hot springs of Tatopani.
