Without stories like this, a car is just a car with no meaning, it’s the people like Ken or as his family called him “Cool Pop” that make them meaningful At DRVN Society and our shop DRVN Motorsports we recently had the opportunity to work on a very special car, “Cool Pop's car". Cool Pop was a passionate car guy that loved Impalas and was working a 1964SS 409 convertible Impala prior to his passing. The family had been wanting to finish the car and were trying to find a shop to complete the work, but not having any luck until a common friend asked if DRVN would consider helping the family. Once we had the opportunity to meet the family, hear the story behind the car, we were on board! To be able to be part of this incredible story and finish the car paying respect to the memory of “Cool Pop”, meant a lot to us at DRVN and we thank the family for allowing us to be part of it.
