As Fleadh Cheoil 2024 drew to a close the musicians and dancers of Ireland once more took to the streets of Wexford to the delight of the crowds. Its been a great week of celebrating Irish culture and The Fleadh is set to return to Wexford next year. Musician's of all ages are invited to perform on the streets and in the pubs of Wexford for a week in August that will see 500,000 visitors the town. The Fleadh Cheoil (meaning "festival of music") is an Irish music festival run by Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann (CCÉ), a non-profit organisation. The festival includes live music events as well as competition. Each year a single town or city hosts the Fleadh: it has been held in Mullingar, Sligo, and Tullamore, among others.
