Berlin Tegel Airport had been named by Otto Lilienthal and is located close to the city center of the German capital Berlin. A short taxi ride or the bus will get you to the city center. This airport is planned to be closed permanently during the year 2020. All the commercial traffic will be moved to the new BER airport, which is located much further away from the city center on the grounds of the old Berlin Schoenefeld airport. I was asked to publish an approach video to Berlin Tegel. So I checked my archive and found this video, which I did not publish before. It was recorded at a time, shortly before the German airline Germania went out of business. In the video there are Germania airplanes visible on the ground. Also the maintenance hangar, which the airplane passes shows the airberlin sign. airberlin was already out of business but the sign had not been removed or exchanged.
