Part 1:    • Nepal's Wild East - The Kangchenjunga...   Part 2:    • Kangchenjunga North Base Camp - The K...   This video is about the Kangchenjunga Trek and is meant to be a trek report and a guide for anyone interested in hiking this beautiful trail in Nepal's Wild East, up to Kangchenjunga South Base Camp. It's the third and last part of our series about this three weeks long adventure to the slopes of the worlds 3rd highest mountain. Reaching Kangchenjunga is not an easy endeavor. It takes a flight from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur, a tuk tuk, nine hours in a taxi, four hours in a jeep and a week of hiking to get into the mountains vicinity. But in the middle of March 2024, Chandi and I are finally tackling those challenges, to finally see the third highest mountain in the world. And a challenging trek it would prove to be... After a one week hike to Kangchenjunga North Base Camp, we got rewarded with... not very much actually. First, we couldn't see the slightest bit of it's north face due to clouds and fog, and then we got caught in a blizzard on the way back down with the fresh snow prohibiting any more attempts on the mountains north side. So we shifted our focus towards the Simbuwa valley on the south side of Kangchenjunga, which offers a trail of to the mountains South Base Camp. But to get to the Simbuwa Valley, we first needed to cross several high mountain passes. With us were more clouds, more snow and high hopes on finally seeing mount Kangchenjunga...
