Scout off-airport takeoff and landing

A talk-through / how to fly video of a short field landing and takeoff in the American Champion Scout. The 8GCBC Scout rivals the Super Cub for its STOL abilities, through its slow flight abilities and reasonable forward visibility for a Tailwheel aircraft (similar to that of the PA18 as well). We primarily use the Scout for tailwheel undercarriage training, as well as off airport / short landing and takeoff practice for our students. Watch along to see the Scout do a short landing into a 230 metre airstrip, and then a short takeoff out of it.
