SPOILERS FOR ALL OF RE:ZERO IN THIS VIDEO OF COURSE. ALSO A REUPLOAD Reinhard despite his tragic past, does live the best he can & serves the Felt Camp as her Knight. Despite the anime always showing him as a cheerful, chill kind of person, Reinhard is quite stern with the Felt Camp when he needs to be. That’s why Rachins was giving Subaru so much trouble about summoning Sirius earlier in Arc 5, because if Reinhard thought he was summoned for no reason he’d lecture Rachins about it. He’s also snapped at Felt before due to her walking in on his mother who’s been in a coma for a long time. From my perspective, the relationship between the two is complicated, but this is a big deal and shows how important his mother is to him because he’s even ignored his duty as a knight when it comes to Felt. Reinhard would also be shown snapping in an alternative Re:Zero storyline. As Subaru would say “ I can’t kill you Reinhard but I can kill a hero.. this is how you kill a hero.” , the setting would be painted in a Lugunica set ablaze as Reinhard would stare at Subaru with immense burning hatred. Why? What could make Reinhard feel this way? Well, I already said it. Subaru set Lugunica ablaze. Reinhard is known as the Sword of Lugunica and it’s protector. The Hero. With Subaru destroying Lugunica and all within it, he’s eradicated everything Reinhard values and stands for. You can’t be a hero if there’s nothing to save. And if Reinhard isn’t a hero, then what is he? And we can leave that question up to interpretation, as Tappei himself considers Reinhard’s inner thoughts to be a massive spoiler for Re:Zero. #rezero #regulus #reinhard
