Why the Pickelhaube?

Welcome again all you wonderful people. Today I discuss the Pickelhaube. Originally I intended this to be a short 3 minute thing, it required depth and a bit of background... sorry for the longer run time. If you prefer this however let me know. I am always open for ideas and suggestions. Thank you so much for watching, below is a little bit of extra info about the helm. Originally introduced for the Prussian infantry in 1842, the helmet quickly caught on and was used by militaries and police forces in Mexico, South America, Portugal and Scandinavia. Even the British pith-style helmet of the late 19th Century and the famous English bobby helmet were inspired by the Prussian Pickelhaube.
