48 Hours in KOLKATA: India’s Artistic Epicenter 🇮🇳🎨

KOLKATA (Calcutta), WEST BENGAL, INDIA is the artistic and cultural center of India. It’s not super big on many peoples’ list of Indian cities that they’d like to visit, but after I took a trip there, I’m hoping to change that as soon as possible. I had the opportunity to do so many incredible artistic things in Kolkata, which was so soothing for the soul. I took a tour that was sort of based on performance. It was amazing, and it gave me the chance to see things in Kolkata that I otherwise would absolutely have missed. One such thing was the INCREDIBLE neighborhood of Kumortuli, where craftsmen have been working to create clay idols for various celebrations throughout India for hundreds of years. They’re masters of the trade, and getting to watch them work was one of the highlights of my time in India. I also saw the famous Victoria Memorial, drank coffee and craft beer, and so much more. It was really an incredible triple to Kolkata, I’m SO glad I went, and I hope that you choose to visit one day as well! Are you from India? Kolkata? I can't wait to hear what you think.
