Run through this level like normal; the Purple Gem platform is at the end. Thanks to getting said gem in "Lights Out", taking the platform at the end of this stage carries Crash down to an underground area with bioluminescent mushrooms. I bet this was a pretty effect to pull off back in 1996. Just smash all of the crates down here then take the alternate exit out.
