Bank Holiday Weekend, fancied an adventure. Cycled up to Whitehaven from Manchester across a day and a half, 140 miles. Camped out by the side of route 71, up bright and early to tackle the Coast to Coast in one day on a old second hand £100 bike. Using route 71 mainly but taking short-cuts on A roads here and there. It really is a a World Class cycle route with astonishing scenery, very easy to follow due to clear sign posting. If you want to take a more leisurely cycle of it, maybe across 3-4 days, then this blog breaks it down perfectly and is easy to follow: https://cycle.travel/route/c2c/guide . I'd highly recommend to anyone, beginners could do it taking it steady. I really enjoyed getting shots on my phone of the landscapes and shots of the speedy descents using my helmet cam. Used an iPhone and Go Pro Hero 7 Silver for videos. Go pro attached onto helmet.
