This is the supercharged AJ133 Jaguar/Land Rover engine that is known for timing chain tensioner failure and/or supercharger pulley coupler/damper failure. Both of these issues/failures present audible symptoms in the engine sound. So if your engine has significantly louder ticking or rattling when running than is heard here, you may some issues that need attention. Please note that this engine is direct injection so it is inherently louder than a standard fuel injected engine. The injector "ticking" on this direct injected engine can sometimes cause alarm for people unfamiliar with the sound of direct injection.
