They are standard transom wheels, plastic mostly, they don't need to be removed once you roll up your inflatable kaboat. It rolls with the kaboat for better convenience and quick deployment. They are not necessarily the best transom wheels in the market, but good enough for the short trips I do on rivers and lakes.
