These are hearing aids for single-sided deafness The Cros system is made for people who have hearing loss or complete deafness in one ear and normal hearing in the other ear. The BiCros system is for people who have hearing loss or complete deafness in one ear and hearing loss in the other ear that can be aided with a hearing aid. With Cros and BiCros systems, the patient will be fitted with two hearing aids. The hearing aid microphone on the bad ear will pick up the sound and transfer it to the hearing aid on the good ear. It's important for patients with this type of hearing loss to be fit in a Cros or BiCros system because it allows them to live life more normally.
