How to Setup a BIG Snook Rod & Reel for Beginners!

Here is a tutorial on how to setup a big snook rod and reel for beginners. A larger spinning reel is recommended, typically a 5000 or larger. I chose the Okuma Salina 6000 equipped with a 7ft 20-40lb class Okuma PCH fishing rod. My line of choice is the 50lb Spro braid and a 50lb Spro Fluorocarbon leader. I explain why I use a monofilament backing when spooling my spinning reels and why spooling your new line with the proper technique is important.
