Chiang Mai to Bangkok Train 2023🇹🇭

hi welcome back to a travel day, first time on a 2nd class train from Chiang Mai to Bangkok. I moved apartments to get closer to the station as it was 8am train. The Apartment i stayed at was directly over the road, Supanich Condo which was very cheap and a nice stay although i was only there one night. I headed over to the station to get a ticket and they were all sold out, so i tried my luck on 12go.com and got a cancellation for a couple of dollars more than the ticket price which was really good. Setting off on the arduous 10hr journey. The train was very comfortable but the lack of food or drink options quickly became apparent after a walk down the train. There wasn't any way of purchasing anything which was surprising.You got the odd bits but once i arrived in Bang Sue Station in Bangkok i was starving. Hopped in a taxi to my apartment called Panmanee which was cheap and not very cheerful but somewhere to get my head down for the night. In reflection on my next long journey i'll try the 3rd class train as i know people can get on and serve you food, drinks etc. Also it looks like a much more relaxed atmosphere.
