Beyerdynamic Ribbon Microphone Shootout (M160, M260, M500)

Here's a shootout between a 1970's Beyerdynamic M500, 1960's Beyerdynamic M160, and a 1960's Beyerdynamic M260. These are all ribbon microphones with similar motors, but they have some big sound differences. The M160 has two ribbons that give it added depth, the M260 has a single ribbon that has great low end, and the M500 has a transformer that cuts out low end to tailor it for vocals.
