Last year we were happily stuck in Thailand during Covid period. There were almost literally no tourists in Thailand. Hotels/ resorts, everything shut down. We found this hidden gem in Phuket where we were paying only 250$ a month to stay at this beautiful 3-bedroom penthouse very close to Patong beach! Almost all the apartments of this complex were empty, and we managed to catch a good bargain. Pretty sure during the normal time, this would be way more expensive! The name of the complex was "The Privilege Residence 26 Patong". They have one-bedroom, two bedrooms, and three bedrooms apartments. Talk to them directly and ask for a better deal.
