Bayeux War Cemetery is the largest Commonwealth cemetery in France. Located in the town of Bayeux, which was the first French town of importance to be liberated during the Allied invasion of the country on D-Day in 1944, the cemetery contains the graves of 4,144 Commonwealth personnel. Of those graves, 338 remain unidentified to this day.
