My baby is breech, meaning, he is not head down, which is the safest way to deliver a baby vaginally. Instead, on recent ultrasound, we discovered that my baby is the frank breech position. His butt is down toward my cervix, and his head is under my ribs. Having a breech baby generally means that there is a higher risk for delivery complications. Some OB providers will not even attempt to deliver a breech baby vaginally. My OB provider has suggested two options: 1. ECV (external cephalic version), which is a process whereby the OB provider attempts to manually move the baby. 2.
