Trap Dike to Mount Colden | The Most Dangerous Hike in the Adirondack Mountains

The Trap Dike is a very dangerous and technical bushwack in the Adirondack Mountains up to the summit of Mount Colden. The Trap Dike is not recommended for beginners or people afraid of heights or exposure. People have died climbing this rout more then once. This climb is to be taken very seriously. This is not your average hiking trail because it’s not a trail at all. This is a straight up bushwhack, rock climb and land slide created by Hurricane Irene all the way to the top. So please assess your own abilities and make smart decisions. Don’t do this if you’re uncomfortable. With that being said. This climb up to Mount Colden was absolutely a blast and i loved every second of it! The Slides and Dike were like a playground crafted by gods hands. This is hopefully the best visual reference you will ever find to help you prepare before you attempt it. This video is educational and extremely informal because it guides you through the correct route. Take visual notes of where we enter the slide. Many people are rescued off this mountain because they exit the wrong places. So please… Like - Comment and Share every chance you get when people are asking about it.
