What if the Powered Armor from "Starship Troopers" (OVA) was in Super Robot Wars? An ability showcase. Starship Troopers is a 6 episode OVA adapted from the Robert Heinlein movie of the same name and features designs based on the 1977 Japanese release of the novel. That release along with Kazutaka Miyatake's accompanying design for the Power Suit was a major influence for Mobile Suit Gundam, and thereby the Real Robot genre as a whole. The story follows Juan Rico, a young man who decides against the protests of his parents to follow his crush, Carmencita, into a military life. However, at the same time, humanity is entering into a war with blob-like aliens. Heinlein's novel was originally written as a vehicle for his political views, particularly his support of militarism. This adaptation largely eschews these aspects, fitting more into the attitudes typical to the Real Robot genre.
